Established in Your Greatness

During a workshop that I facilitated recently on The Passion Test(TM), I gave an example of one of my top five passions:

When my life is ideal, I am established in my greatness.

One of the participants asked me if that felt egotistical. I understand what he meant but for me it doesn't.

We start life receiving a lot of praise from our parents and others for almost all that we do. Even without understanding what's being said, we pick up the positive message of encouragement. We're told how wonderful we are and how well we do things.

Years later we learn that it's not good to think too highly of ourselves. It's alright if others tell us we're good at something but if we say it about ourselves, we're labeled as having a big head.

This message remains with us until we decide to question it.

Ask yourself - What are you good at? What are the gifts that you bring to the world? What are your heart's desires? What do you do that excites you, brings joy to your life?

You'll get different answers at different stages of your life so focus on where you are right now. Go within. Peel away the layers of your life experiences and connect to your true self. Each time you do this you'll get to know yourself better.

Then one day, you'll have an inner knowing of what you're good at. This is what it means for me to be established in your greatness.
